In this guide are measures you can take to ensure that you are as safe as possible while interacting with others online. Taking the time to add these measures to your existing settings can help secure your online security and privacy against those with malicious intent.

How to Stay Safe
Protect Your Personal Information
While online, it is advised that you share very limited information about yourself. You should never share your whole name, location, date of birth, social media, or any other information which could make you a target. Any personal information that you give to people can be used to identify you.
Avoid Links
You should not click any links that you receive through DMs or whisper. Often times these links take you to fishing websites which look like trusted sites. Avoid entering your passwords or any other information into these websites.
Activate Safety Lock
Enabling the safety lock setting on Habbo puts another barrier between a hacker and your account. Often times the hacker(s) will leave your account and furniture alone if this is activated. To activate the Safety Lock follow the steps below.
How to Enable Safety Lock
Go to the Account Protection tab in settings and turn on Safety Lock.
Strengthen Passwords
Passwords are harder to crack the more complex they are. Adding special characters, numbers, and making them longer ensures that hackers don’t easily gain access to your account.
Friend Requests
Avoid accepting friend request from Habbo Mafia members. They are notorious for sending our Phishing links to gain access to your account. You can identify most mafia members through their mottos or badges.
Customer Support
If you think that your account has been compromised then you should contact Habbo customer support immediately. You can easily contact them by clicking the “Help” tab on the Habbo login page.
In Game Support
If for some reason someone is bullying, harassing, asking personal information, etc. you are able to mute and report the user.
Muting
Putting someone on ignore will make it so the other person will not be able to see anything you say and you will not be able to see anything they say.
To Mute A User:
1) Click on the user’s avatar.
2) On the drop down menu click the “ignore” tab.
Reporting
When you report someone they get reported directly to Habbo staff. If they are found guilty of violating the Habbo Way then they will be punished.
To Report a User:
1) You may also click their avatar if you prefer.
2) In the drop-down menu click “Report”.
