The guide below will demonstrate how to properly scout for the FBI. It is very important that you follow the rules while scouting as if you scout in the wrong place, it can create trouble. Do not scout until you are at least in the Special Operations division.

How to Scout
Tips for Scouting
Groups
It is not necessary but it is recommended that you scout with a group of 2-3 other members to increase your effectiveness and the amount of potential Cadets that the group can reach.
Location
You should never scout at military bases or agencies. If you are found to be scouting there it is called poaching and can lead to disciplinary actions taken against you. It’s recommended you go to rooms that are public and filled with people that are not currently in an agency. Also avoid rooms with games inside them because you won’t be the center of attention for most people. Some great places to scout are “Club NX”, public Habbo rooms, role play rooms, etc.
Communication
Once you’re in a room try to add as many people as you can and try to talk to them about general things before pitching recruitment. Once you start your pitch talk about benefits such as pay, friendships, games, giveaways, activities. Your goal is to get them excited about joining.
Recruitment
Once you have someone interested, make sure you are the one to guide them through the process. Not only will you make a new friend but you will be the one to introduce them into the FBI.
Rules
- Do NOT scout in any agency as this is not allowed and it will be considered poaching. This will get you fired, so be careful.
- Make sure you look at the person’s profile and ensure that they don’t already work in another agency/military.
- Check if the person has already been scouted before. You can only attempt to scout them again seven (7) days after they were last scouted.
- Do not try and force anyone to join the FBI. You can try and convince them but never try and force them if they don’t want to.
- Do not forget to take a screenshot of your conversations and upload them on imgur or lightshot to include as your evidence.
- The screenshot will be valid if it shows you and the person talking to each other.
- If you succeed in convincing someone, bring the potential person to base and let a person on the front desk assist him/her.
- Make sure to record all scouting attempts on the portal.
Portal
1) Search for “Scouting Logs” on the left panel of the portal.
2) Scroll to the bottom and click on “Add Log”.
3) Fill in all necessary details and click on “Create Post”.
a. For the screenshot, paste the link of the scouting screenshot to the box.
b. If the cadet had gone through training (pass/fail), add in another link in the same box on a separate line.
i. You can get the link by selecting “Link to Post” for the training log.
ii. Copy and paste the second link option into the Scout Log screenshot textbox as mentioned above
Miscellaneous
A successful scouting log (with training) means that after talking to the person they decided to join the FBI and went to train.
A successful scouting log (without training) means after talking to the person they decided to join the FBI but doesn’t went to train.
An unsuccessful log means that after having a conversation with the person they declined the offer to join the FBI.
Evidence of the conversation must be included in the scout log using imgur.com or lightshot.
